We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Procurement Manager for Direct Materials to join our team.
Main Activities
Negotiates contracts and supply agreements for his/her country purchases in due consideration of global, regional and local strategies;
Improve NWC by increasing Payment terms, avoiding higher inventories and reducing slow movers;
Develops sourcing strategies for the Direct Materials spend for Resende plant in Brazil;
Aligns sourcing strategies with Global Procurement and business;
Develop market Intelligence and leverage market intelligence;
Lead new supplier development.
Optimize and broaden supplier base to secure reliable and flexible supply for raw materials;
For Traded goods collaborate with Sales & Marketing and stablishes effective interfaces with the functions/ BU's;
Consults and informs functions/business associated with his/her materials or material groups;
Periodically participates in functions/business meetings, engage in production and business;
Takes responsibility for the achievement of the savings target / AOP goals;
Takes responsibility for the achievement of the cash targets (Payment Terms);
Ensures an efficient organization within his/her materials or material groups;
Ensures a high level of automation (via utilization of or SAP Contracts) and authomatic PO´s;
Provide support to The Operational Buyers;
Ensures compliance of his/her materials or material groups with the standards, policies, KPIS and purchase order;
Responsible for supplier evaluation for the Key Supplier Management;
Provide backup and support for other plants in case of vacation from colleagues or as needed per business needs;
Qualifications
Bachelor and background in Business Administration, Chemistry or Engineering;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Excellent negotiation skills;
Ability to influence and collaborate;
Distinct leadership capability;
Very good analytical skills for chemical, commercial, tactical and strategic challenges;
Knowledge of regional/global chemical market;
IT expertise in SAP, MS Microsoft, Internet;
Fluency in English and Portuguese (Spanish preferred), verbally and writing;
Minimum 7 years of experience in managing direct materials within specialty chemicals space (OBAs, Dyes, Pigments etc) for multisite, multiplants preferably in the packaging industry, oil and gas space;
