Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Family-Based Immigration Paralegal to join our team remotely. In this role, you will work closely with our attorneys to prepare and manage family-based immigration cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate is proactive, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and file family-based immigration petitions and applications, including forms I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, and all related supporting documents
* Collect, review, and organize client documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
* Maintain and manage case files, deadlines, and follow-ups
* Communicate with clients to provide case updates, request documents, and respond to general inquiries
* Assist in preparing clients for USCIS interviews, including document review and guidance
* Draft cover letters, affidavits, and other supporting materials
* Monitor case progress and assist in responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs)
* Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely filings and full compliance with immigration regulations
* Handle all client information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
* Prior experience in immigration law, specifically in family-based cases
* Strong working knowledge of USCIS forms and procedures
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
* Bilingual in English and Portuguese is required — Portuguese speakers only
