Project Lead in Automotive UX Study
We are seeking a skilled project lead to oversee an automotive UX study in São Paulo. The successful candidate will have experience in project coordination, research operations, and UX research.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organization skills, proactive communication, and the ability to thrive in fast-changing environments.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning & Execution:
o Build and own the project plan – timelines, budget, participant milestones – working closely with the Ops Manager and UX Research Lead.
o Run stand-ups with distributed teammates (US, Brazil, India).
* Field & Research Execution:
o Moderate ~2 weeks of in-vehicle sessions in São Paulo, guiding participants through tasks and capturing high-quality data.
o Translate consent forms, short surveys, and session notes between Portuguese and English.
* Technical & Logistics Support:
o Prep, track, and recover equipment used to execute study.
o Troubleshoot participant hardware, connectivity, and account issues; escalate edge-case bugs to engineering via JIRA.
Basic Qualifications:
* Residence / Work Authorization: Based in the greater São Paulo area; legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in Brazil.
* Language: Native-level Portuguese and professional-level English (spoken & written).
* Experience: 3+ years in project coordination, research operations, UX research, or similar.
* Comfort diagnosing common hardware / connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, Android / iOS devices, Bluetooth peripherals).
* Tools: Google Workspace, project-management suite (Asana / JIRA), basic spreadsheets; willingness to learn our proprietary research platform.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, proactive communication, unflappable in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
Preferred Extras:
* Prior automotive or in-vehicle research experience.
* Prior Team management or project coordination experience.
Contract Details & Perks:
* Term: 3 months (approx.), ~40 hrs/week.
* Hybrid: Remote most days; up to 2 weeks of on-site fieldwork.
* Compensation: Competitive monthly contractor rate in BRL, based on experience.
Conversion Path: Strong performance may lead to an offer for a permanent role on the UX Operations team.
