Responsibilities
Direct the sales organization towards achieving annual sales and profit plans, including necessary forecasts and adjustments
Plan, organize, staff, train, and develop effective sales and leadership teams
Develop and manage annual expense budgets, compensation plans, and motivational programs
Support product launch campaigns and lead commercialization efforts for surgical products
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the success of the sales team
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 years of progressive responsibility in sales management within the medical device industry
Experienced business leader with a BS/BS degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience
Senior sales management experience selling diagnostic and/or surgical products to Ophthalmologists and Optometrists
Proven ability to lead leaders and maintain a national presence
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience analyzing complex situations and making policy decisions
Established track record of developing strategic alliances with complementary companies
Familiarity with managing independent or distribution channels in medical sales
