While this is optional, candidates who provide a video presentation will be given priority.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of financial statements and reportsProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsReconcile key accounts, including bank statements, and ensure accuracy in financial recordsSupport month-end and year-end closing proceduresMaintain documentation and records for auditing and compliance purposesWork closely with the team to optimize accounting processesAssist in managing day-to-day client communications, responding to questions and information requestsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of accounting experienceProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksComfortable learning and navigating new systems and toolsStrong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and other key stakeholdersEligibility for Latin America residentsApplication language and Loom video guidance included in the application processCertificationsStrong preference would be a degree in Accounting, with Finance or related fields being secondary.If they have a degree in a related field, an accounting certification would be a plusMust HavesFull professional proficiency, both spoken and written. We work very closely with our offshore associates so it’s imperative to minimize communication issues2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably with a US based companyThis associate will be working on bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, etc., so they should have experience preparing those types of reconciliations in a previous roleExperience with Quickbooks Online (it’s not 100% must-have but is a very large bonus)Nice to HavesWork experience at one of the big four US accounting firms (KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Ernst & Young)Ability to create or improve processes. We’re a fast paced start up and don’t always have lengthy process documentation available.Experience in Netsuite, Bill.com and/or RampWork ScheduleTypically, the associate’s schedule would be 9AM - 6PM EST.
