100% Remote PJ / Contractor Fluent English EDI Developer (B2B / Integration) Overview We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer to support a growing integration and data ecosystem. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining EDI solutions that enable seamless data exchange with external partners, vendors, and customers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations (X12, EDIFACT) across key business functions (order management, logistics, finance, etc.) Build and support inbound and outbound EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 940/945) Collaborate with Integration Engineers to implement and manage EDI workflows using iPaaS platforms (Workato or similar) Partner with Data Engineering to ensure EDI data is accurately integrated into Snowflake/Databricks for downstream analytics and reporting Develop and maintain data mappings, transformations, and validation logic Troubleshoot EDI issues, manage error handling, and ensure timely resolution of data discrepancies Work with business stakeholders and external trading partners to onboard new EDI integrations and maintain existing relationships Ensure compliance with EDI standards, partner specifications, and data governance requirements Document EDI processes, mappings, and integration architecture Required Qualifications Solid experience in EDI development and integration Strong experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and common transaction sets (850, 856, 810, etc.) Experience with EDI mapping and transformation tools (Sterling, SPS Commerce, Cleo, Boomi, or similar) Experience working with APIs, file-based integrations (SFTP, AS2), and data transformation concepts Understanding of ERP integrations (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks Strong SQL skills and understanding of data structures and pipelines Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working alongside iPaaS platforms (Workato preferred) Exposure to ETL/ELT workflows and collaboration with Data Engineering teams (dbt, Python a plus) Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Experience in CPG, retail, or supply chain environments Knowledge of EDI communication protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP, VANs)
