The
Professional Services Project Manager
is an experienced subject matter expert who leads and directs the organization's most critical and complex customer projects - those requiring specialized management beyond what technical teams can handle independently. This role oversees service delivery to ensure it meets both client expectations and contractual requirements.
The Professional Services Project Manager serves as the central liaison between all stakeholders, guiding projects from initial concept to successful implementation and seamless operational transition - whether to internal teams or the client's support organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties for flawless project execution.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Assist in defining project scope/objectives with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track progress.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule and costs.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools/techniques.
Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
Manage client and stakeholder relationships.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish/maintain third-party/vendor relationships
Create/maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
Develop client-facing and internal project plans.
Produce spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Industry certifications (e.g., PMI, Scrum, Agile) are a plus.
Experience:
7+ years in the IT industry, with at least 5+ years in Project Management.
Information security experience (preferred).
Hard Skills:
Expertise in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
End-to-end project oversight:
Planning, scoping, scheduling, forecasting;
Budgeting & cost tracking (ensuring projects stay within financial constraints);
Risk & change management.
Strong reporting and performance tracking.
Team leadership (including remote/multicultural teams).
Soft Skills:
Leadership & decision-making.
Strong communication & negotiation.
Problem-solving & critical thinking.
Adaptability & attention to detail.
Experience managing cross-cultural, multi-continent projects.
Languages:
Fluent English (written & spoken).
Fluency in Spanish would be beneficial.
