Technical Program Manager (Salesforce TPM)
A Technical Program Manager at Salesforce (or in a Salesforce-focused role) is responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex technical initiatives. They bridge the gap between high-level organizational strategy and technical engineering execution.
Core Responsibilities:
Program Delivery: Overseeing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initiation to completion using Agile and Lean methodologies.
Stakeholder Alignment: Leading Steering Committee meetings to make key decisions, remove obstacles, and align vision across cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Leads, UX).
Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identifying blockers, managing dependencies across multiple scrum teams, and developing mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement: Driving engineering excellence by refining release planning and program structures.
Required Skills:
Experience: Typically in enterprise software or technical program management.
Technical Depth: Deep understanding of SaaS/PaaS business models and the ability to master technical subjects relevant to the program.
Communication: Outstanding executive presence with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Trade Promotion Management (Salesforce TPM)
If the role is specifically for Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud, TPM refers to a consultant or manager who optimizes how brands manage trade spend and promotions.
