Operations Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage production levels to meet sales orders on quality and direct cost standards.
* Monitor and control budgets for subordinated areas, establishing procedures for cost reduction.
* Select best alternatives for material utilization, manufacturing process control, and manpower allocation.
* Conduct operations aligned with strategic innovation: CAPEX, development of new products and raw materials, and investment in people development and technical improvement.
* Ensure industrialization of products with high quality and innovation, competitive cost, within agreed deadlines.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical/Process/Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
* Able to develop winning strategies/plans, understand functional interfaces, align teams for action against key priorities.
* Key skills include project/service management, effective communication and selling, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels within the business.
* Able to work in a constantly changing dynamic and challenging environment.
* Team Player, self-starter, self-motivating - able to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
* Cultural sensitivity/flexibility in responding to different cultures.
* Strong communication Skills with Front line and Senior leaders.
* 7 years' experience at management level.
* Advanced level in English; Fluent in Spanish as a must.
* Must be willing to travel.
