**About the role**:
We are looking for an R&D manager who will be responsible for leading RD&A activities by assuring project progression, incentive hands-on work, efficient system usage.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Active collaboration on EUM and foundational technology strategy with GM’s (EUM and Sub Regional) and Commercial Business leads
- Foster team development activating talent pool, succession planning, and commercial & technical skills by providing training, coaching and role modelling and inclusion
- Balance the resource allocation according to business priorities making it easier and more valuable to do business with Kerry
- Ensure efficiency, accurate, integral, and timely solutions
- Build credible customer partnerships
- Lead / Incentive innovative initiatives
- Drive product collection strategy
- Manage and protect IP
- Support as a Regional SME on global strategy
- Guide Trainings
- Incentive cross functional communication / collaboration (Regional / Global)
- Assure efficient RD product costing and optimization
- Legislation compliance
**Qualifications and skills**:
- Degree or local equivalence of same in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Food Science, Food Eng, Chemical Eng, Nutritionist, Pharmacist, or related discipline
- Knowledge on Research and development activities.
- Key technical contact for identified customers/stakeholders, with responsibility to foster good relationships.
- Understanding Food Industry structure and regulatory implications.
- Good knowledge on product development, product functionality, food production.
- Fluency in English language both oral and written. Fluency in another language is an advantage.
- Problem-solving ability and experience in trouble-shooting skills.
- 5 plus years of experience
- Food, Beverage & Pharma industry, RD&A, Technical Services, QSHE.
- Experience of managing people or leading teams.
- Management experience working in a local leadership team in a matrixed organization with significant exposure to Senior Leadership teams
