As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in defining and leading the design experiences across three core products.
* You will take ownership of designing user experiences from concept to completion.
* Conduct thorough research, including planning, execution, and synthesis.
This requires a strong bias for action, a scrappy attitude toward product development, and flexibility to pivot in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
In this position, you will work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, scope appropriately, and account for edge cases and error states.
* Effective communication and collaboration are essential in this role.
* You will help establish and maintain a consistent design language and component library.
* Contribute to the overall brand experience by creating and maintaining brand and marketing materials.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in Product/UX Design.
* Fluent in English.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a good eye for visual design.
* A strong portfolio showcasing complex web or mobile interfaces.
* Proficiency with Figma and ability to translate requirements into simple design solutions.
* Experience designing for similar users is preferred.
About the Team
The team is distributed across North and South America, with flexible work hours. Regular meetings are expected, and the team relies heavily on Figma, Slack, Linear, and Notion for collaboration.
The role is full-time, but paid as a contractor. To facilitate this, the company will either work with individuals who already have a company set up in Brazil or help set up a new company.
Interview Process
The interview process includes:
* Applying with your LinkedIn profile and/or resume, along with a portfolio link.
* An asynchronous portfolio review, where you'll create a 15-minute video walking through a relevant project.
* A project assignment, where you'll spend 2 hours designing low-fidelity designs for a user experience that addresses a given problem.
* A 1-hour presentation of your project during an interview with leadership.
* Possible additional follow-up interviews with the founder and/or Head of Engineering.
