Job Description:
As a Murex BAU Consultant, you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd level production system support on Murex 3.1. This includes working on various Murex system implementation, configuration and developments in various aspects of Murex including datamart, MXML pre-trade and post-trade workflows, RTBS and MDCS.
You will also coordinate and communicate with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document and verify requirements. Additionally, you will analyse and make recommendations based on related Murex implementation experience.
In this role, you will follow client SDLC lifecycle and documentation requirements. You will also support IT and business audits and technology risk assessments.
Some other responsibilities include development and testing of database and infrastructure changes, performing technical reviews of production changes, and writing clear and concise documentation of issues and resolution within confluence.
You will maintain and enhance the Control-M scheduling tool for intraday and end of day batches.
You will deal directly with business users across the bank including front, middle and back office, finance, product control and risk to analyse and diagnose business critical issues.
Furthermore, you will analyse and resolve issues related to risk, pricing, PnL, market data, market operations, EOD, interfaces, reporting.
You will provide detailed information about issues to the vendor, and co-ordinate with them in testing fixes / solutions.
Lastly, you will act as an intermediary between business and vendor.
You will debug and enhance bespoke java processes supporting the Murex implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
You must have a minimum of 2 years experience with Murex in a support capacity.
Strong technical capability is required.
A solid understanding of datamart is necessary.
