Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.As the Director of Marketing you will have the chance to define the strategic direction and lead the execution of all pharmaceutical brand activities in the country.That includes developing and implementing marketing plans that drive brand awareness, differentiation, and loyalty, ultimately supporting both short and long-term business objectives.What You’ll DoYour key responsibilities will be:• Strategy: Oversees all pharmaceutical and OTC (over the counter) marketing activities, guiding brand strategies and tactics for both base business and pipeline products to meet financial targets.• Brand P&L: Owns full brands’ P&L responsibility, driving volume growth, optimizing pricing strategies, and managing A&P (advertising and promotion) investments effectively.• Performance Diagnostics: Monitors and analyzes KPIs - including Evolution Index, market share, growth, sales, volume, and pricing- to proactively identify performance drivers and recommend strategic and tactical adjustments, as needed.• Cross-Functional Direction: Provides strategic direction to all relevant functions, especially the sales and demand generation teams, to ensure alignment with brand objectives.• Long-Range Planning: Contributes to the Long Range Plan (LRP) and country OEM (emerging markets) to ensure a solid foundation for sustainable, profitable growth.• Portfolio Strategy: Evaluates new product opportunities through market assessments, go-to-market strategies, and financial forecasting to guide portfolio decisions.• Launch Excellence: Leads cross-functional teams in executing new product launches via the Launch Excellence (LEx) framework, ensuring on-time market entry, budget adherence, and achievement of post-launch KPIs.• Global Collaboration: Acts as the primary liaison with the Global Marketing Director and global teams, ensuring alignment and effective local execution of global strategies, while providing market insights to inform global planning.• Team Leadership: Recruits, develops, and retains a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.• Compliance: Ensures all marketing activities comply with legal, ethical, and corporate standards, upholding Abbott’s Code of Conduct.QualificationsEDUCATION• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES/SKILLS• Proven senior marketing experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry; sales experience is a plus.• Strong results orientation with a track record of achieving measurable outcomes.• Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to interpret data and develop innovative solutions.• Demonstrated leadership in team development, coaching, and cross-functional influence.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering open dialogue and collaboration.• Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
