Job Title: Renewable Energy Investment Leader
The renewable energy investment leader is responsible for building relationships with renewable developers and identifying opportunities to advise on and fund nascent power projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Management: Train, lead, and inspire a team of finance professionals.
* Investment Strategy: Develop and execute investment strategies for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring renewable energy projects in targeted global markets.
* Financial Analysis and Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and rigorous due diligence to assess the viability, risks, and returns of potential investments.
* Stakeholder Relationships: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including project developers, financial institutions, and government agencies.
* Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations, policy changes, and technological advancements in the renewable energy sector to inform investment decisions.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CAIA) preferred.
* 8+ years of relevant experience from a Bank or an Asset Management Firm.
* Must be fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrable experience in renewable project development, investment banking, capital markets, private equity in international and domestic markets.
* Proven experience with private equity investment processes, including deal sourcing, comprehensive due diligence, and investment execution, specifically within renewable energy project portfolios.
* Extensive experience globally in structuring and financing renewable energy projects across various sectors, including solar energy, wind power, biomass, hydroelectricity, and emerging technologies like energy storage and green hydrogen.
