What You'll Do
Design and own complex integration systems (EHR / EMR / APIs)
Map and understand undocumented or legacy systems
Build reliable backend systems with:
Async patterns
Queues
Observability
Own production:
Runbooks
Incident handling
System reliability
Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
Engage with open-source ecosystems (debugging, contributing, extending)
Tech Stack
Node.js, TypeScript, Python
PostgreSQL, MongoDB
REST APIs, GraphQL
What We're Looking For
5+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong expertise in:
Node.js + TypeScript
Python
Deep understanding of:
Async systems
Queues
Error handling
Observability
Experience building integration-heavy systems
Comfortable working in ambiguity with high ownership
Bonus:
Healthcare / EMR / EHR integrations
REST + GraphQL API design
Open-source contributions
