- As part of TotalEnergies, this position supports the company's technological strategy, focusing on deep offshore technologies, especially subsea processing, flow assurance, and related technologies.
- R&D in E&P is strategic for TotalEnergies, supporting growth and strategic alliances such as with Petrobras.
Job Dimensions:
* Support the Lead Deep Offshore Engineer.
* Participate in follow-up, coordination, and technology transfer of collaborations with Oil & Gas companies.
* Engage in technical committees related to deep-water collaborations.
* Ensure active follow-up of HQ involvement in JIPs funded or co-funded by TotalEnergies.
* Coordinate workforce including specialists, researchers, and trainees under supervision.
* Ensure compliance with ANP 1% obligation, maximizing its use in R&D projects.
* Oversee progress of R&D projects with academia and Brazilian companies.
Activities
Activities are performed in line with HSE management, safeguarding people, environment, and resources, contributing to energy efficiency and decarbonization.
* Coordinate R&D programs related to subsea developments, tiebacks, deep offshore architectures, and support structures.
* Represent TotalEnergies R&D in external research consortia and projects.
* Identify and develop R&D collaborations with universities, labs, and industry partners.
* Assist in budget and funding application preparations.
* Supervise less experienced staff and develop team knowledge.
* Monitor technological developments by competitors, vendors, and academia.
* Promote the company's reputation in the professional and academic communities.
* Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations.
* Ensure technology development and qualification for co-financed projects meet requirements.
* Participate in project follow-up and technology transfer.
* Manage project completion, budget, and communication of results.
* Interface with internal teams and external partners during R&D activities.
* Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards in Brazil.
Accountabilities:
* Support R&D activities aligned with multi-year programs, developing innovative solutions and expertise.
Candidate Profile
* MSc in engineering or related field.
* At least 5 years’ experience in R&D or projects related to subsea flow assurance, SURF, SPS, or subsea processing.
* Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
* Fluent in Portuguese and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
