Senior Integration & Technical Design Specialist (Tech Lead)
We are looking for a senior professional with strong experience in system integration, technical design, and architectural vision to take on a Tech Lead role in strategic data and modernization initiatives.
This role will be key in defining and evolving integrations between legacy systems and centralized data environments (Data Hub / Data Lake), ensuring scalable, decoupled, and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design of integrations between legacy systems and data platforms
Analyze existing systems and communication mechanisms (batch and online)
Define integration models and global design patterns
Design integration approaches: batch, online, near real-time, and event-driven
Produce and validate detailed technical designs (interfaces, data flows, transformations, validations)
Define error handling and traceability standards
Establish integration standards: APIs, messaging, file-based, events, ETL/ELT
Design data exchange models (structures, formats, contracts)
Review and rationalize existing integrations (flows, field usage, redundancies)
Identify technical risks, impacts, and dependencies
Propose scalable, decoupled, and maintainable solutions
Support development teams during implementation
Document architecture, standards, and technical designs
Collaborate with architecture, data, and business teams
✅ Must-Have Requirements
Strong senior experience in complex system integrations
Proven experience in technical design and solution definition (beyond development)
Experience acting as a Tech Lead or in a technical leadership role
Solid understanding of architectures:
Event-driven
Data Hub / Data Lake
Distributed systems
Experience with both batch and real-time/online integrations
Strong experience analyzing legacy systems
Ability to define data models and integration contracts
Experience producing technical documentation and making architectural decisions
⭐ Nice to Have
Experience with mainframe/legacy environments (COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL)
Hands-on experience with integration technologies (Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ)
Experience designing API strategies (REST / SOAP governance)
Exposure to cloud-based data platforms
Experience with large-scale data transformation (ETL/ELT pipelines)
Knowledge of financial services / banking environments
Familiarity with modernization programs (legacy to cloud/data platforms)
Experience working in global or multi-country environments
