About the role
Professor(a) de Inglês (IB English) for Ensino Médio at Gurilândia e Land School, an Inspired School in Salvador, Brazil. The role requires passion for education, experience in a regular or bilingual school, and fluency in English.
Responsibilities
* Acquire knowledge of the curricular programs used in the series you teach.
* Collaborate with other teachers and segment leadership to achieve alignment and consistency.
* Plan lessons and produce pedagogical materials, accounting for individual student needs.
* Teach IB-aligned English, aligned with the BNCC and the material selected by the school (physical or digital).
* Employ varied teaching/learning practices, including active methodologies, responsive teaching, Assessment for Learning, and investigative methods.
* Consistently use technology to enrich and improve learning.
* Supervise students in school spaces.
* Substitute teachers in the same segment when requested.
* Mediated relationships between children, families and the school.
* Prepare assessments and communicate results.
* Tabulate and analyze pedagogical data to adjust instruction and improve learning.
* Format and feed our evaluation tracking platform (iSams) in preparation for family reports.
* Participate in pedagogical meetings (including COC) and school events.
* Ensure the physical and emotional safety of students, and safeguard their socio-emotional growth.
Requirements
* Licenciate diploma in English Literature.
* Experience teaching Ensino Médio.
* Experience with the IB curriculum.
* Fluent English to deliver lessons in English.
