We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to prepare, monitor and control the financial reporting for our for our 4 legal entities covering our 7 operations in the region – and potentially more to come.
You will be working closely with the local accounting team and Finance Director and cooperating with the Head Quarter in Denmark.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly financial reporting
* Lead month-end closing procedures
* Perform mandatory monthly reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and alignment between balance sheets and accounts
* Analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements
* Lead the management of the local joint venture (JV), ensuring:
* Accurate OPEX recharges
* P&L review
* Profit split
* JV reporting, with support from the local Senior Accountant
* Reconcile the local ERP system (TOTVS) with the Group ERP system (Dynamics Business Central)
* Assist in setting up finance procedures for accounting teams and external accounting firms
* Liaise with the Commercial team
* Liaise with and provide reporting to auditors
* Communicate and report to the Finance team at the Danish headquarters
* Map, restructure, and implement new processes to improve organization, workflow, and automation within the department
* Prior experience with in-house accounting transitions is desirable
Qualifications:
* Strong experience in auditing small and mid-sized businesses or as a Financial Controller.
* Strong knowledge of local Brazilian taxes and reporting requirements.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
* Strong ability to maintain a high-level overview while being hands-on and detail-oriented
* Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Team player with strong collaboration skills
* Fluent in English and Spanish
