Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator to oversee and manage patent filing requests.
This role involves coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting, with experience working with EP, PCT and foreign applications. Strong organizational, leadership and management abilities, as well as excellent communication skills, are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing all documents required in connection with EP, PCT and foreign applications.
* Proactively initiating the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Monitoring all assigned cases and proactively ensuring that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
About This Role:
This is a full-time, remote position. Working hours will be in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). Candidates must be able to commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
