Exadel is seeking a Solution Architect with Snowflake to work remote as an Independent contractor for a Global client (A U.S.-based education services provider). English is mandatory because this professional will have to report abroad. And design and architect end-to-end data solutions leveraging Snowflake as the primary cloud data platform.
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain Medallion architecture in Snowflake, ensuring a robust dimensional data model for the gold layer.
Define and oversee data transformation processes using Coalesce.io, and manage data extraction and loading with Airbyte.
Integrate and modernize legacy data systems built on SQL Server / SSIS, with limited use of Azure Data Factory where required.
Design and optimize the BI semantic layer to enable self-service analytics in Power BI.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
Establish best practices for data modeling, pipeline development, and version control using GitHub.
Track project progress and deliverables through Jira.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Project team.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Architect or Solution Architect with a strong background in cloud-based data platforms.
Required Skills
Hands‑on expertise with Snowflake, Power BI, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, SQL Server / SSIS, and some exposure to Azure Data Factory.
Deep understanding of Medallion architecture and dimensional data modeling.
Strong knowledge of designing and maintaining BI semantic models for self-service analytics.
Experience establishing and enforcing data engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.
Familiarity with Jira for project management and GitHub for version control.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across both business and technical teams.
Minimum 4‑hour overlap with US Eastern Time.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Salesforce integration and data sources.
Experience in the higher education (higher ed) or ed‑tech domain.
