Seeking a seasoned professional to lead the risk management program at our organization.
The ideal candidate will have five years of clinical experience with knowledge of high-risk areas, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain reports and policies and procedures.
Risk Management Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to protect the organization's assets and reduce liability.
* Collaborate with department managers to identify and mitigate risks associated with patient care and safety.
* Work closely with the Director of Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, State and Federal standards and regulations.
Claims Management
* Facilitate the processing of summons and complaints served on the organization and its employees.
* Coordinate investigation of claims within the facility and direct in-house claims investigation.
* Maintain all legal case files and ensure maximum protection and discoverability.
Reporting, Report Preparation, and Submission
* Provide aggregate analysis of risk data and trend analysis of incidents to administration, corporate risk management, patient safety council, MEC, performance improvement, environment of care/safety committee, governing board, and medical staff committees/departments as necessary.
* Enter PCR's (Level III/IV incidents) into STARS Database within 10 business days of the incident.
