The role interfaces with Counterparty Due Diligence (CDD), Ethics & Compliance (E&C), Global Business Services (GBS) and support functions for oil origination activities in Brazil and requires balancing independence, controls & compliance mindset with a business enabling partnership. Key Accountabilities - Support Traders and Originators in the KYC/due diligence on counterparties seeking to establish business relationships with Trading & Shipping in Latin America (including but not limited to Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador) - Build and enhance effective interaction and communication with key stakeholders in Brazil, London, Budapest and other regions/groups to facilitate the CDD process - Influence and initiate improvements to current CDD processes to aid effective and efficient procedures, addressing some of the nuances of doing business throughout Latin America and local market practices - Work with local Traders and Originators on the understanding of initiatives/ opportunities, its nuances and local market practices and escalate all concerns and issues to senior Front Office managers and CDD levels as appropriate - Prioritize new counterparty requests as well as periodic CDD reviews - Support regular activity reporting and counterparty population maintenance process - Provide accurate and complete information to CDD teams on proposed business transactions and nature of business of prospective counterparties - Assist CDD in Budapest and London in collecting other local information on existing and prospective counterparties as and when required and follow up document requests with counterparties - Assist with translations of documents in local language to English and vice versa as appropriate and needed - Provide broader support of Latin America commercial opportunities Education and Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience required - MBA or other certification that includes internal controls & compliance matters of expertise desired - 3 plus years of experience in KYC/AML/due diligence, control, compliance or finance area - Basic knowledge of the KYC/AML function with a client service orientation - Good analytical skills and detail oriented - Proactive and independent - Ability to multitask and prioritize and ensuring effective processes and procedures - Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced and very deadline orientated environment - Independent thinker and creative in finding alternative solutions - Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English ATTENTION: Please attach your updated curriculum in English when applying Why bp?
