Job Purpose and Impact
The Manufacturing Excellence and Quality Improvement Leader provides overall corporate governance and strategic direction in the way we safely & efficiently design, build, operate, maintain and improve our CQN aqua feed facilities, partnering with the CQN Regional Operations Leaders and Plant Managers, as well as other central ANH and Cargill BOSC areas.
This position will provide technical leadership to our manufacturing excellence and operations team through innovative and transformational improvements producing world class operational results.
Lead the advancement of smart manufacturing strategy to realize the power of automation, data and analytics in CQN in partnership with Corporate ME and support execution of strategy with the Regional BOSC (Business Operations and Supply Chain) and Manufacturing Excellence Leaders.
In partnership with CQN supply chain leader integrate manufacturing excellence activities with supply chain management to support CQN system to better serve customers in our value chain.

Key Accountabilities
Partners with functional leadership (engineering, R&D, CSSP, Reliability, EHS, FSQR) to define the strategic design requirements for CQN and Cargill.
Provides strategic leadership to establish deployment systems and processes of those requirements with ANH and CAN ME Leaders, and CQN Operations leaders ensuring there is a consistent program across all CQN regions leveraging leading practices across Cargill, ANH, CQN and the industry where applicable.
Define and monitor production excellence performance measures and continuous improvement practices and tools to improve quality, manufacturing costs, yields, reliability, and throughput.
Lead collaboration across the enterprise to accelerate deployment of leading practices across technologies (extrusion, pellet manufacturing) and outside of ANH internally with other enterprises or externally with technology leaders.
Develop and execute strategy to further automate and digitalize our operations and integrate with supply chain management practices.
This includes plant systems and controls, manufacturing execution systems, manufacturing operations management and operational intelligence.
Define and maintain strategic partnerships with customers to develop deep knowledge of the manufacturing setting.
Develop preventive approaches for meeting efficiency standards.
Lead and advise production and engineering managers in reliability excellence and production excellence implementation.
Develop standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance and ensure the standards are applied in production.
Develop and execute new methodologies across multiple plants, and platforms.

Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and budgeting.
You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years' experience working in engineering and technical operations.
Deep expertise and knowledge of feed manufacturing technology or similar industry, with aqua extrusion experience preferred Experience in reliability excellence and maintenance Advanced process automation and control knowledge Proven success in developing, implementing, and leading strategic initiatives/project plans Strong fundamental understanding of industry leading practices in managing the different risks of the technology Demonstrated skills at managing and leading in complex and ambiguous situations Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma black belt certification and/or other Quality Management skills Knowledge of construction project management skills Knowledge of Food, Occupational and Process Safety standards and requirements Experience leading classroom training Experience working with Strategic Vendors and Large Engineering Service Providers MBA
