Job Description Summary The Business Developer for Power Stability & HVDC in Latin America drives market development and deal origination for HVDC and power stability solutions across the region. The role identifies and shapes opportunities with key market stakeholders, tracks trends and policy, and develops go-to-market strategies. Working closely with global and cross-functional teams, it builds value cases, partnership models, and capture plans to convert opportunities into qualified pipeline, competitive bids, and targeted business results. Job Description Essential Responsibilities : Create market demand through executive workshops, discovery sessions, and assessments that help shape pilots, budgets, and tenders. Build and manage strategic relationships with TSOs, DSOs, regulators, utilities, IPPs, multilaterals, and key partners. Lead regulatory and market engagement by influencing consultations, grid codes, market design, and stability service mechanisms. Represent the company through thought leadership in technical forums and industry events while monitoring market trends, public policy, and funding frameworks. Define regional go-to-market strategies, account plans, and pipeline priorities for HVDC and grid stability opportunities. Influence pre-RFI/RFP requirements and develop technical-economic value cases, capture plans, and competitive differentiation strategies. Coordinate system studies, solution architectures, pilots, financing schemes, and partnerships to deliver robust and bankable proposals. Own bid-related commercial results by leading ITO teams, managing forecasting, governance, compliance, risk, negotiations, and continuous process improvement. Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Solid professional experience, with at least half in leadership roles within sales, tendering, or operations. Experience in Grid Solutions and turnkey projects is preferred. Strong knowledge of the Latin American market, especially Brazil and Mexico, with willingness to travel 40% or more. In-depth expertise in HVDC systems, including LCC and VSC technologies, as well as power stability, compensation, FACTS, and grid codes. Good understanding of hybrid AC/DC transmission systems, filters, converters, control systems, and relevant IEC and IEEE standards. Knowledge of energy regulation and market frameworks such as ANEEL, ONS, CREG, CENACE, and CEN, with advanced English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus. Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, contract management, pipeline management, and opportunity forecasting skills, with the ability to shape complex deals and build effective client relationships.
