At Turing, we are seeking skilled professionals to participate in a groundbreaking research initiative.
The Common Lives Project aims to capture real-world activities and advance the development of human-centered AI systems.
* As an electrician, you will wear a head-mounted GoPro camera to record your daily activities for 5 separate days within a 2-week window;
* You will need to capture at least 7 hours of footage per day, with flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy;
* Each day, you will spend around 2 hours uploading, reviewing, and processing your footage securely.
Requirements:
* No children under the age of 18 should be present or visiting during the recording period;
* All adults in the space must be fluent English speakers and agree to being recorded;
* You must live in a private, self-contained apartment, building, or indoor work environment;
* All household members must consent to appearing in the footage.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Applicants must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles (e.g., not retail or childcare);
* Participants who share the same workplace or household should both have a GoPro mounted during the activity;
* Preferrably engaged in manual or creative work (e.g., chef, baker, artist, carpenter, musician, electrician, mechanic);
* Self-employed or employer consent required to record in the work environment;
* Able to use a computer for basic tasks such as reviewing and uploading video clips.
