Podcast Audio Editor
As a Podcast Audio Editor, you will be responsible for editing podcast audio files, enhancing sound quality, implementing sound design, adding music, and ensuring overall quality control for each episode.
You will remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents, improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent, restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered, insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates when required, follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully, deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline, produce 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use, and support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested.
The ideal candidate has proven experience editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style), strong editorial judgment, excellent attention to detail, comfort with working with physician and expert-level conversations, fast, reliable turnaround times, clear, professional communication, familiarity with tools like Descript, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, or similar, proficiency in Audio Editing, experience with Sound Design, knowledge of Sound and Music production basics, strong Editing skills, familiarity with audio editing software, ability to work independently, communicate effectively with teams, and meet deadlines, experience in podcast production, and background in audio engineering, media production, or a related field.
