This individual will play a critical role in analyzing user behavior, evaluating feature performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality data insights. This role is best suited for a confident self-starter and requires a blend of creative vision, technical know-how, strong communication / presentation skills, and exceptional organizational skills.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis, Insights, & Skills- Extract, clean, and analyze data using SQL to understand product performance, user behavior, and business trends- Proficient at using / analyzing excel, dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor product health/performance- Understands what constitutes “accuracy” for various data sets and can run checks to verify the accuracy of a data set- Automatically goes the “extra step” on assigned tasks.- Able to provide actionable recommendations to product managers and leadership teams- Capable of providing clear and concise write-ups for complex analysis- Capable of performing tasks with speed and efficiencyPersonality Traits- People excel in this position that are self – starters, confident, and competitive- They are capable of self-management and independent decision making- They have strong time/priority management skills- They are team players and can see problems from multiple points of view.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, QA’s, User Acquisition, and Design teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions- Partner with stakeholders to identify key metrics and measure the success of product initiatives- Understands the differences between team level updates and executive level updatesExperimentation & Optimization- Support A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to validate hypotheses and inform product decisions- Analyze experiment results and recommend next steps for product improvementsAgile/Scrum Processes- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to align analytics work with product development priorities- Deliver insights in iterative cycles that align with Agile methodologiesWho You Are- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.G., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or similar)- 5+ years of firsthand experience in management/analysis of data within a Structured Query Language (SQL) database (Preferred: Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift) with proven SQL and query writing skills- Experience collecting and analyzing data and reporting on the results using Excel or a statistical software package- Demonstrated ability to extract and assimilate data from multiple sources and communicate analysis in a concise, easy-to-understand, and actionable format- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and working in iterative development cycles- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
