System Administrator
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage our Windows environment during the overnight shift. This role requires strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting system and network issues, administering core Microsoft infrastructure services, and collaborating with other IT teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing user and group administration, configuring and troubleshooting Windows-based services, and maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user and group administration, OU structure, and permissions.
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows-based services such as DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
* Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues related to authentication and system performance.
* Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues within a Windows environment.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems as needed.
* Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in Windows system administration.
* Strong knowledge of Active Directory and related services.
* Proficiency in managing DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPOs.
* Solid troubleshooting skills for authentication and performance issues in Windows environments.
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and IP subnetting.
* Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision.
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MSCE).
* Experience with remote desktop support tools.
* Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell is a plus).
