The Role
You GOTTA love designing apps. Not just making screens look beautiful, but thinking deeply about how users interact with digital products, how they move through an experience, and how great design decisions lead to great outcomes.
As a Web & Mobile App UI/UX Designer at Chop Dawg, you'll be joining our growing Brazilian design team of 9 designers, working alongside 2 American designers, as part of an 11-person creative powerhouse. You'll work directly with our partners across the United States and beyond, translating their ideas into thoughtful, polished, and development-ready designs.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week commitment. Our designers typically manage 2 to 3 active partner projects at any given time, so you need to be someone who thrives juggling multiple workstreams, staying organized, and delivering quality work across all of them without missing a beat.
Every project is different. Our partners span industries and stages, from first-time founders with a napkin sketch to established companies looking to build their next big product. What stays consistent is the standard: every product we design should be something our partners are proud to launch and their users love to use.
What You'll Do
* Design mobile apps, web applications, marketing websites, and branding assets for partners across a wide range of industries
* Manage your workload across 2 to 3 concurrent projects, keeping each one moving forward on schedule and at a high standard
* Create user personas, site maps, wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs, product flows, and documentation
* Build and maintain component libraries that keep design systems consistent across projects
* Develop non-functional prototypes to validate design direction before development begins
* Design branding elements including app icons, logo designs, and Apple App Store and Google Play Store assets
* Collaborate directly with partners via Zoom to present work, gather feedback, and refine direction
* Work closely with project managers, developers, and fellow designers through Slack, Jira, and Confluence to keep projects moving
* Participate in design reviews and iterate based on partner and team feedback
* Leverage AI tools like Claude and Google Stitch to enhance your workflow and output quality
What We're Looking For
Required
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken. This is non-negotiable. You will be communicating directly with American partners daily, and clear, professional English is essential.
* Reliable, high-speed internet connection
* Available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST
* Strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing mobile apps, web applications, and branding
* Proficiency with Figma as your primary design tool
* Experience with user personas, site mapping, wireframing, high-fidelity design, product flows, non-functional prototyping, and component libraries
* Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment
* Experience working directly with partners and teams based in the United States
* Experience working in an agency setting, ideally serving American or European clientele
* Proficiency with Slack and Zoom for daily communication and partner meetings
* Available to start immediately or within the next few weeks
Nice to Have
* Experience designing for wearable devices and tablets
* Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
* Experience leveraging AI-powered design and productivity tools such as Claude and Google Stitch
* Previous project management experience
* Background in branding including app icons, logo design, and app store asset creation
Compensation
Starting at $1,000 USD/month, scaling up to $4,500 USD/month as you grow into the role and take on expanded responsibilities.
Availability
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. Must be based in Brazil.
