As a Patent Paralegal Project Manager, you will oversee and manage patent filing requests. You will work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of all requests within scope and to the highest standards.
Your role will involve coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance. This is a full-time remote position with working hours in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone).
Candidates must commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
Main Responsibilities
* Preparing documents required for EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Initiating responses to official communications and notifications.
* Coordinating filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant.
* Maintaining project timelines and ensuring that all deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE MANAGING COMPLEX PROJECTS.
* EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
* A SUCCESSFUL TRACK RECORD OF COLLABORATING WITH DIVERSE STAKEHOLDERS.
Preferred qualifications include strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows, comfort working with CAT tools and Machine Translation engines, and ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
