: NoThe Chief of Police serves as the administrative head of the Police Department and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all department operations.
The Chief reports directly to the Town Manager and ensures the effective delivery of law-enforcement services to the community.Work involves responsibility for the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances, protection of life and property, and the preservation of public peace.
The Chief exercises independent judgment in departmental operations in accordance with established policies, applicable laws, and recognized best practices in modern policing.
Work is performed under the general direction of the Town Manager in accordance with municipal policies and applicable laws.Application deadline is May 8.
