Job Description
The Podcast Audio Editor will be responsible for refining podcast audio files, enhancing sound quality, implementing sound design, adding music, and ensuring overall quality control for each episode. The role involves collaborating closely with the content team to maintain brand consistency and meet deadlines efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Edit raw podcast audio into polished, broadcast-ready episodes
* Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents
* Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent
* Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered
* Insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates when required
* Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully
* Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline
* Produce 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use
* Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested
Required Skills and Qualifications

* Proven experience editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style)
* Strong editorial judgment — you know what to cut and why
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
