As a Financial Risk Model Auditor at Nu, you will be part of our Internal Audit team, focusing on assessing and mitigating risks related to credit, market, liquidity, and capital. Your primary objective will be to provide assurance on the accuracy and reliability of Nubank's financial models.
* Evaluate and critique risk models from conception through development, validation, and ongoing monitoring.
* Apply mathematical and statistical knowledge to analyze model robustness, performance, and adherence.
* Conduct audit tests using data analysis, identifying potential risks, biases, or control failures.
* Lead technical discussions with stakeholders, communicating findings clearly and objectively.
* Prepare comprehensive audit reports and implement action plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, with experience applying these concepts to analyze or build models (data science, credit, finance, or related fields).
* Practical experience with data analysis, extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets to generate insights.
* Excellent communication skills, enabling the explanation of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
* Analytical and problem-solving profile, with strong critical thinking skills.
* Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain a broad perspective.
* Previous experience in Internal Audit, Internal Controls, or Risk Management is a plus, particularly in Credit Risk or Market Risk.
* Knowledge of the financial market, credit products, or fintechs is beneficial.
