Responsibilities: Front-end Architecture & Engineering Excellence Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and performant frontend architectures using React and Next.js. Drive UI componentization, micro-frontend strategies, and maintainable design patterns. Implement best practices for internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) strategies. Define modular, reusable, and optimized frontend patterns, including caching, lazy loading, and API consumption strategies. Ensure adherence to Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and contribute to org-wide documentation. Front-end Policies and Standards & Tooling Establish and enforce best practices for CI/CD workflows, environment configurations, and feedback loops. Optimize frontend tooling, framework selection, and quality gating processes. Maintain high standards for code quality, security, and performance compliance. Website Operations & Performance Optimization Drive disaster recovery and resiliency planning for frontend applications. Implement logging strategies for efficient debugging and minimal Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR). Define and maintain monitoring, alerting, and on-call strategies for frontend issues. Optimize frontend performance (TTI, FCP, page speed, etc.) and ensure continuous tracking through dashboards and metrics. Collaboration & Evangelism Work closely with backend, DevOps, and product teams to drive best-in-class frontend solutions. Advocate for frontend engineering needs across the organization, collaborating with Principal Engineers and stakeholders. Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, mentorship programs, and training initiatives to upskill teams in frontend development. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging frontend technologies to continuously improve the tech stack. Skills: Strong experience in eCommerce frontend architecture and best practices. Exposure to major eCommerce platforms like SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Mirakl, Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Understanding of headless commerce, PWA strategies, and API-driven eCommerce architectures. Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js. Deep knowledge of frontend build systems & bundlers (Webpack, Vite, esbuild, Turbopack). Strong expertise in CSS frameworks (TailwindCSS, Bootstrap, Styled Components, Emotion). Experience designing scalable component-based architectures. Proficiency in module federation and federated design systems. Strong understanding of API consumption strategies (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events). Deep expertise in frontend performance optimization (TTI, FCP, LCP, CLS). Strong knowledge of caching strategies (client/server/edge caching, CDNs). Experience in server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and ISR in Next.js. Advocate of strong quality controls, including: Unit Testing (Jest, Mocha, Vitest). Integration & E2E Testing (Playwright, Webdriver.io, Cypress). Performance & Accessibility Testing (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, Axe-core). Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, Google Cloud). Understanding of Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, K3S, EKS, AKS, GKE). Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing for frontend applications. Strong communication and presentation skills Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 5+ years of industry experience, with a focus on frontend development
