Company Description Founded in Los Angeles in 2023, BioBlanks is an end-to-end sustainable manufacturing platform leveraging innovative practices to create custom apparel for modern businesses and creators. It is no secret that "swag" and "merch" has become synonymous with cheap and undesirable clothing to be worn once and never thought of again. We spent the past 3 years building a proprietary process in downtown Los Angeles to create apparel that rivals your favorite luxury brand while ensuring that the garments are kind to the earth. We use traceable organic materials, low-impact dyes, and regenerative manufacturing methods to ensure our customers not only love our merch, but the earth does as well. And the best part? We handle every step from design, sourcing, production, and delivery to make sure our clients can stay focused on what they do best—building a killer brand.Job ResponsibilitiesLead design projects from initial concept through final production-ready files, bringing creative ideas to client briefs while ensuring every detail meets our quality standards.Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to translate their vision into compelling apparel graphics, incorporating feedback throughout the design process.Prepare and finalize all artwork for production, including proper file formats, export settings, and color specifications for print.Maintain organized project documentation in Notion and Google Drive, including technical sheets, status updates, and asset libraries.Contribute to brainstorms and creative sessions with fresh ideas that push beyond conventional approaches to apparel design.Proactively identify opportunities to improve design workflows, templates, and processes as the company scales.Hard SkillsProficient in vector and raster-based graphicsExperience in traditional illustration (hand-drawing)Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma, including export settings, preparation for print, and required file formats (required)Proficient in web-based tools such as Notion, Google Drive, and Google Sheets3+ years experience as a graphic designer (required)2+ years experience as an apparel designer (preferred)Experience working with clients and managing projects (required)Experience with color separation of artwork for printing (preferred)Experience in a startup, agency, or small company environment (preferred)Proficient English fluency (preferred)Intermediate English fluency (required)Soft SkillsSelf-starter who takes initiative without needing to be askedExcited to solve problems creatively and think outside the boxStrong team player and contributor to company cultureLow ego—open to feedback and willing to adaptNot afraid to make mistakes and sees them as opportunities to improveObsessed with aesthetics and visual designHighly curious with good taste and references within the creative artsHighly productive with strong organizational skillsClear and responsive communicatorPassionate about pursuing excellence in all workThrives on collaboration and constructive feedbackResponsible and reliableWants to grow with a company long-term and build from the ground upCompensation & Job InformationFull-Time (40 hours weekly)Unlimited PTOMonthly wellness stipendPaid biweeklyContractor
