Global Trade Regulatory Specialist
The Global Trade Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for researching and tracking global trade regulations across LATAM and North America. This role requires the ability to analyze and document new or amended legislation in an internal repository.
* Maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory changes in assigned countries using government websites, agencies, third-party sources, and in-country experts.
* Track global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements across jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, LATAM, etc.).
* Prepare comparative analyses of regulatory changes when required.
The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clear summaries and detailed regulatory insights needed by product specialists to implement system changes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research and analysis on global trade regulations.
* Maintain a repository of regulatory information.
* Analyze and document new or amended legislation.
Required Qualifications:
* Bilingual: English + one LATAM language (Spanish or Portuguese).
* 5+ years of professional experience in tax, global trade, or international regulatory research.
* Working knowledge of SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems.
* Familiarity with international trade laws and frameworks (EAR, ITAR, EU Dual Use, WCO, etc.).
