Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Application Support Engineer to join our team. This individual will provide technical direction and guidance for a wide array of application / infrastructure activities supporting the business applications, processes & procedures across the enterprise.
About the Role
* This role involves liaising between IT and business stakeholders to support the most complex application needs.
* The successful candidate will develop strategic stakeholder relationships within the business units to ensure client satisfaction with complex IT design and the development of efficient business systems.
* The key responsibilities include participating in architectural discussions, evaluating proposed solutions, implementing solutions, performing technical analysis, and preparing recommendations as needed.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
* 5+ years of related Production support experience required, with experience in the securities or financial services industry being a plus.
* Programming/Scripting Skills in Java, Python, C++, Django etc (any scripting or coding language and ability to learn).
* Experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus etc etc).
* Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work with Global Teams, and growth mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean is a plus.
* Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo preferred but not a must.
* Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, ITIL, Service Management preferred.
