As an Instrumentation Engineer your primary role will be to provide instrumentation engineering expertise to the various Aramco entities including designing, developing, installing, and troubleshooting. You will work with different disciplines such as operating sites, instrumentation engineering, facility planning, and project management. Additionally, you are expected to participate in the organization and company initiatives including safety programs, innovation programs, operational excellence, knowledge sharing, self‑development and other programs as required. Evaluates and introduces best practices and new technologies to enable the Company to achieve Best in Class performance in oil and gas business. Performs cost analyses and Value Engineering studies to recommend cost‑effective solutions to technical issues. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably in Instrumentation, Mechanical or Electrical engineering. A Master's degree or PhD in Engineering is desired but not required. Minimum 20 years of professional experience as an engineer in charge of technical work in field of specialty. Previous work with a major international Oil & Gas Company and/or previous employment with one of the Instrumentation suppliers used by Company is desired. Must have experience in plant instrumentation sizing and selection (Control valves, Pressure Relief valves, Actuators, Basic Process Measurement etc.). Certified in ISA‑Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP), TUV FSEng, Principles & Practice of Engineering (PE) certification, or Chartered Engineer (C.E.) license or registration. Basic knowledge of H2S, LEL, pH, conductivity, O2 analyzer, CO/CO2 analyzer, fire & gas detectors and Gas chromatographs is preferred. Proficiency in the International codes and standards used within the oil and gas industry, i.e., API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc. Have participated as lead engineer in HAZOP, SIL, P&ID, Design, and model reviews. Understanding of control systems, compressor and pumps field instrumentation, speed controllers, Vibration Monitoring Systems (VMS), Compressor Control Systems (CCS). Understanding communication protocols like DNP3, Modbus, FieldBus, TCP, IEC, SPA, RP570, ANSI and General Process Automation Protocols.
