About the role:
As Senior Demand Planner you will manage end-to-end order fulfilment in a hybrid make-to-order/make-to-stock environment. You will oversee the supply flow from customer order receipt through delivery, ensuring alignment across Commercial, CMOs, Quality, and Logistics.

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining customer communication, managing demand and production planning inputs, coordinating timely supply from manufacturing partners, ensuring compliant product release, and securing on-time shipment.

Demand Planning: supporting global demand visibility and forecasting accuracy through:
Partnering with commercial teams to collect and validate market-level forecasts
Reviewing historical sales trends and current inventory positions
Consolidating forecasts to feed into S&OP and supply planning cycles
Order Management: overseeing the full customer order lifecycle, including:
Receiving and processing purchase orders from global customers and distributors
Entering and confirming orders in the ERP system and tracking through to shipment
Coordinating with logistics and warehousing for dispatch and delivery
Proactively communicating order status and resolving delays or issues
Managing returns, write-offs, and documentation in line with policy
We’re looking for a Senior Demand Planner who is well-organised, attentive to detail, and proactive, with the confidence to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners. You should be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, an inquisitive mindset, and a willingness to develop and expand your technical capabilities.

The role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager. The department has an ethos of continuous improvement, refining systems and creating efficiencies, leading to a varied and dynamic working environment.

Main responsibilities & duties:
Managing new customer purchase orders and entering them into the ERP system
Checking order status, stock availability, and shipment timelines
Communicating with logistics, CMOs, and internal stakeholders to ensure dispatch readiness
Managing demand planning by gathering and consolidating forecast data from commercial teams, analyzing historical sales trends and current inventory levels to ensure optimal stock coverage and alignment with business needs in MTS and MTO
Tracking backorders, delays, and inventory risks
Aligning with commercial teams on upcoming tenders, launches, or demand shifts
Responding to customer enquiries about order status or documentation
Updating trackers, KPIs, and ERP data for accuracy
Leading S&OP planning and stock reconciliation for forecast accuracy
Identifying improvement areas before building business cases and engaging with relevant stakeholders to obtain their engagement and buy-in to develop a new tool and/or propose a plan of action which will contribute towards our innovation, performance or trust priorities
Troubleshooting all issues within the supply chain process relevant to bridging stock, serialisation, and tamper evidence, whilst ensuring the highest standard of GDP is maintained
Managing the process of inventory returns from customer or distribution channels, and evaluating returned inventory for potential restocking or disposal, following company guidelines
Performing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable financial reconciliation with regional partners as part of the order-to-cash process, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, payment application, and credit management
About you:
Candidates with progressive experience in supply chain, demand planning, order management, or customer operations within pharmaceuticals, FMCG, medical devices, or another regulated/GDP environment, should have the skills and experience required for the role. We are also looking for:


Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field
APICS, CIPS, IBF, or other supply chain certification desirable
Experience working within Supply Chain - S&OP, Demand Planning, Demand Forecasting in the pharma environment
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Navision, JD Edwards)
Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point, with a good understanding of Power BI
Proven track record in managing purchase orders, forecasting, stock coordination, or order-to-cash
Exposure to S&OP and/or global distribution desirable
Knowledge of inventory monitoring, inventory valuation methods, inventory methods, inventory control principles, and best practice
Excellent coordination skills and ability to manage multiple customer orders simultaneously
Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret sales trends, stock levels, and forecast data
High attention to accuracy and detail in documentation, system entries, and communication
Confident communicator across internal teams (Commercial, QA, Logistics, Finance, CMOs) and external customers
Proactive problem-solver with the ability to anticipate supply issues and propose solutions
Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-market environment
Fluent in English and Portuguese
