Product Designer Position
We are looking for a highly skilled Product Designer to join our team.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Product/UX Design and be fluent in English. They should possess good taste in visual design, strong problem-solving skills, and a strong portfolio with concrete examples of designing and shipping complex web or mobile interfaces.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, scope appropriately, and account for edge cases and error states. They will also contribute to the overall brand experience by creating and maintaining brand and marketing materials.
Responsibilities
* Define and lead the design experiences across three core products - web and mobile.
* Take ideas from concept to completion.
* Conduct and manage full research process from planning and scheduling to execution and synthesis.
* Lead usability testing sessions, gather feedback, and information to vet and refine designs.
* Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, scope appropriately, and account for edge cases and error states.
* Maintain a consistent design language and component library.
* Contribute to the overall brand experience.
Requirements
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in Product/UX Design.
* Fluent in English.
* Strong proficiency with Figma.
* Experience designing for similar users preferred (Nurses, Senior Care Professionals).
Interview Process

* Asynchronous portfolio review: Create a 15-minute video walking through a relevant project that demonstrates your skills and experience related to the role.
* Project: Spend 2 hours on a small project. You will be given product context and asked to come up with low-fidelity designs for a user experience that would address the problem. You will present your project during a 1-hour interview with leadership.
* 1-2 additional follow-up 1:1s with the founder and/or Head of Engineering may be requested to address unresolved questions.
Work Environment
The team is distributed, but generally located in North and South America. Work hours are flexible, but there are regular meetings you'll be expected to attend. The expectation is to be available to collaborate during general daytime hours. The team relies heavily on Figma, Slack, Linear, and Notion for collaboration.
Though the role is full-time, you will be paid as a contractor. To enable this, the company will work with individuals who already have a company set up in Brazil or help you set up your company to be compensated.
