This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates, and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Buyer - CAPEX will support multiple country or business sourcing activities. You will execute complex procurement tasks to provide inputs to the global category team.
Key Accountabilities
* Negotiate with suppliers on large packages and manage overall project execution, resolving factors affecting prices, costs, quality, reliability, and schedules.
* Monitor regional supplier and stakeholder relationships continuously.
* Provide technical expertise in regional spend, stakeholder, and procurement landscape.
* Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of non-contracted materials, goods, services, and supplies.
* Lead or collaborate with category teams.
* Solve moderately complex issues independently, escalating more complex issues as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
* At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
* Experience as a Capital Buyer.
* Experience with procurement.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with sourcing systems (e.g., Ariba).
* Advanced Excel skills.
Position Information
The expected salary range is $75,000 to $95,000, depending on factors such as location, certifications, education, and experience. Compensation may be adjusted for geographic differentials. The position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award based on company and personal performance.
