Job Description: Courier Services
The role involves providing courier services directly to customers daily, including driving, customer service, and completing related administration or paperwork.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure efficient and safe delivery and collection of parcels and freight, accompanied by a handler on the road, while maintaining a professional company image.
2. Operate various cargo vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all regulations and procedures.
3. Inspect packages accurately and report any issues or failures promptly.
4. Seek additional business opportunities from current customers, attempt to gain new clients, and inform the sales department of significant customer or competitor changes.
5. Answer customer questions regarding FedEx services and keep customers informed about company offerings.
6. Ensure packages meet FedEx service features, are properly labeled, and that all paperwork is complete and accurate.
7. Assess legality of packages, including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments, and sort packages accordingly.
8. Scan packages following prescribed procedures and demonstrate proficiency in service features and equipment.
9. Maintain adequate supply of FedEx shipping materials for customers.
10. Meet aircraft and transportation schedules for package sorting and delivery.
11. Load and unload vehicles, operate mechanized ramp equipment, and perform minor vehicle maintenance as needed.
12. Maintain a neat personal appearance and vehicle cleanliness to uphold company image.
13. Perform other assigned activities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Elementary School diploma; basic English skills preferred.
Experience: At least 1 year of professional driving experience, valid license per country regulations, good driving record, age 21 or older.
Skills: Driver's License Type C, D, or E; ability to lift 70 lbs. (32kg) and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs. (68kg); strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; successful completion of Basic Skills Test sections; ability to work variable shifts.
