The primary goal of the project is the modernization, maintenance, and development of an eCommerce platform for a large US-based retail company, serving millions of omnichannel customers weekly.
Solutions are delivered by several Product Teams focused on different domains such as Customer, Loyalty, Search and Browse, Data Integration, and Cart.
The current priorities include onboarding new brands, re-architecture, database migrations, and migrating microservices to a unified cloud-native solution without disrupting business operations.
Responsibilities :
* Quickly onboard to Customer's processes.
* Perform performance tuning requests.
* Handle DBA work related to incident tickets.
* Collaborate with other teams and clients to identify optimal solutions.
Mandatory Skills :
* Willingness to work until 9:00 pm CET (overtime not required).
* Excellent skills in PostgreSQL tuning, with or without tools and extensions.
* Strong experience managing PostgreSQL in any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Advanced knowledge of SQL queries, joins, functions, and procedures.
* Understanding of networking, infrastructure components, and PostgreSQL settings and flags.
* Experience with monitoring tools and analyzing workloads and query benchmarks.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills :
* Experience working with Azure.
* Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure database management.
* Experience with DevOps practices and GitHub.
* Experience working in distributed teams with US clients.
