Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Service Management professional with expertise in developing and enhancing complex ServiceNow platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of configuration management databases, discovery, integrations, and related IT service management modules.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement advanced ServiceNow solutions for configuration management, discovery, and service mapping.
* Configure and customize ServiceNow applications and modules to meet business requirements.
* Lead the development of integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
* Evaluate and ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
* Develop solutions that utilize out-of-the-box features without requiring unnecessary customizations. Facilitate code reuse and leverage proven patterns.
* Perform upgrade testing by validating customizations, configurations, and integrations across major and minor ServiceNow releases.
* Create and maintain automated test frameworks to validate core ServiceNow functionalities, ensuring stability and reducing manual regression efforts.
* Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues efficiently.
Required Experience & Skills:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 5-7 years of ServiceNow development experience with a focus on IT service management.
* Strong knowledge of configuration management databases, service models, discovery, service mapping, and integrations.
* Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Glide API, REST/SOAP integrations, and ServiceNow scripting.
* Familiarity with automation and DevOps practices, including continuous integration (CI/CD), code versioning tools like Git, and Agile principles.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Knowledge of artificial intelligence, virtual agents, and robot process automation.
