Senior SAP ABAP Developer (S/4HANA) About the role As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer (S/4HANA), you will make an impact by designing and developing modern, high-performance SAP applications using ABAP on HANA principles. You will be a valued member of the SAP Technology team and work collaboratively with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, cloud-ready solutions that support digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will: - Design and develop applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and modern ABAP standards. - Build and maintain Core Data Services (CDS) Views to support transactional and analytical use cases. - Optimize performance using ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) and SQLScript, applying code-to-data principles. - Develop OData V2/V4 services to support SAP Fiori and UI5 applications. - Support system integrations using APIs, IDocs, and BAPIs. - Perform code remediation activities (SPDD/SPAU) during ECC to S/4HANA conversions. - Apply Clean Core principles to ensure long-term system stability and upgrade readiness. - Collaborate closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams. Work model This is a hybrid position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Brazil. What you need to have to be considered - 3-8 years of experience in SAP ABAP development with hands-on S/4HANA exposure. - Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) and ABAP 7.5 syntax. - Experience working with Eclipse / ABAP Development Tools (ADT). - Hands-on experience with CDS Views, OData services, and SAP Fiori enablement. - Experience supporting S/4HANA migrations or system upgrades. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. - Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. These will help you stand out - Experience with SAP Fiori Elements and UI5 frameworks. - Familiarity with Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP). - Functional knowledge of SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, or PP.
