About the Role
We are seeking an experienced data architect to design, develop, and lead the delivery of enterprise-grade data integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Optimize query performance: Ensure that database queries meet strict service level agreements (SLAs).
* Analyze execution plans: Recommend indexing, partitioning, and optimization strategies to improve database performance.
* Partnership with DBAs: Collaborate with database administrators to validate and implement tuning recommendations.
* ETL/ELT workflows: Oversee extract, transform, load/load processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
* AWS services: Leverage Amazon Web Services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DMS) for ingestion, transformation, and storage.
* Leadership and mentorship: Lead and mentor the team, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
* Clear communication: Translate technical decisions into clear explanations for both technical and business stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Data engineering experience: 7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise-scale environments.
* Oracle expertise: Expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexes, partitioning, and parallelism.
* SQL skills: Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
* ODI expertise: Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
* Data warehouse design: Experience in data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
* Leadership experience: Proven leadership experience, including team mentoring and technical guidance.
* Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
* Fluency in English: Fluent in English.
