This position oversees the optimization of Art Content for performance on all supported platforms.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing a team of technical artists
* Providing art direction and feedback on tasks
* Optimizing Art Content for performance on all supported platforms
* Collaborating with Art Leads to create Shader and blueprint solutions for complex assets
* Working with production to plan, scope, and estimate tasks
* Collaborating with Gameplay Engineers and Designers to execute new complex gameplay features from start to finish
Requirements include:
* Strong experience with Unreal Engine or other real-time game engine technologies
* Skilled in authoring materials and shaders using node-based graph editors or HLSL
* Proficient in Blueprints and other programming or scripting languages
* Proven leadership as a departmental lead, managing technical artists and collaborating closely with all art departments
* Proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, or similar software
* Experienced in texture creation using tools like Substance Designer and Substance Painter
* Hands-on experience with procedural modeling and simulation tools, such as Houdini
* Expertise in optimizing art and gameplay content across multiple platforms
