Last Mile Logistics Operations Manager
This key role oversees the timely and cost-efficient distribution of parcels through partner carriers, ensuring seamless execution and high performance. The Last Mile Logistics Operations Manager will define and track KPIs such as on-time delivery, delivery success rate, and transit times. They will develop dashboards and reports to provide data-driven insights to stakeholders and senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Last Mile Operations Management: Monitor daily operations, investigate anomalies, and implement corrective actions to maintain service excellence.
* Performance Management: Develop strategies to enhance efficiency, capacity, and cost-effectiveness in last mile logistics.
* Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with last mile carriers, ensuring service levels meet company standards.
* Operational Standardization: Establish best practices for last mile logistics, defining roles, responsibilities, and performance management models.
* Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in delivery operations, benchmarking industry best practices.
* Incident Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Lead proactive issue resolution, ensuring smooth communication between teams and timely escalation of critical cases.
* Strategic Network Planning: Support the development of last mile network strategies, aligning logistics infrastructure with business growth plans and cost optimization goals.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree: In Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
* Minimum Experience: 5 years in last mile logistics operations, preferably in e-commerce and/or express logistics.
* Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of last mile logistics, carrier coordination, and performance management.
* Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyze KPIs, identify risks, and drive process improvements through data insights.
* Hands-on Approach: Willingness to visit field operations, engage with carriers, and ensure seamless execution.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Quick analytical thinking to address operational challenges and implement preventive measures.
* Project Management: Experience in leading and executing logistics projects, working cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
* Languages: Mandatory fluency in Portuguese and English. Spanish and Mandarin are a plus.
