Urban Development Specialist
This position focuses on enhancing urban areas through sustainable development. The role involves working with stakeholders to create resilient and environmentally friendly cities.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in regional and urban development, including experience in urban planning, renewal, and regeneration. They should also be knowledgeable about climate-neutral economies and environmental sustainability.
Additionally, the candidate should have expertise in carbon neutral cities, land use and transport integration, transit-oriented development, and smart cities. They should also be familiar with eco-districts, brownfield regeneration, cultural heritage, and territorial governance mechanisms and partnerships.
Another key aspect of this position is experience in urban infrastructure, municipal utilities, green buildings, and public service institutions. The candidate should also be familiar with re-purposing abandoned buildings, mining sites, lands, and stranded assets, as well as education facilities and hospital and healthcare buildings.
The job requires excellent communication skills, particularly in English (CEFR C1). The work location is flexible, allowing for remote work or assignment at NTU's office in Aalborg.
